Shout out to my neighbors Yolanda and Ashley who are twins and have been so welcoming since my move to Bozeman, they’re always keeping me in the loop on new activities around town and have been nothing but kind and genuinely sweet ❤️

Shoutout to my mom and husband for pulling extra weight helping me with my toddlers 2 and 3 years old since I just had a baby 9 days ago! Super grateful to have family and friends helping right now!

Tuesday 1/20

🏛️ The Gallatin County Commission will hold a Public Meeting (Quorum) from 9:00am-12:00pm in the Community Room at the Courthouse. The meeting includes public comment (5 minutes per person) and multiple public hearings and decisions related to local life, and you have the option to attend in person or virtually. Details.

🎉 MSU is hosting their MLK Day Celebration from 1:00pm-4:00pm in Ballroom A at the MSU Strand Union Building. The afternoon features a special performance by principal artists from Ragtime, followed by a conversation with Opera Montana Artistic Director Michael Sakir. Learn about the award-winning musical and explore how art can be a powerful force for social change. Details.

🗣️ Teen Suicide Prevention Talks with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention takes place from 4:30pm-6:00pm at the Belgrade Public Library. This session is designed for middle school-aged tweens (ages 11-13) and focuses on building understanding, reducing isolation, and learning to recognize signs of depression and suicidal ideation. The evening includes a general presentation followed by a private, facilitated space for students to talk with one another. No RSVP required. Details.

🎿 Brush up on your backcountry safety skills at Ladies’ Night: Avalanche Awareness + Beacon Practice, happening 6:00pm-8:00pm at Story Mill Community Center. 🐴 Pre-registration for Bridger Brewskis & Spurs, the skijoring competition celebrating winter the Montana way, takes place from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Bridger Brewing in Bozeman (and from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Bridger Brewing in Three Forks). This in-person pre-reg is designed to prioritize riders from Southwest Montana ahead of the online registration that opens to the general public this weekend. Sign up early to secure your spot! Wednesday 1/21

MSU invites the Bozeman community to roll up a sleeve to help replenish local blood supplies at their Spring Semester Blood Drive. Appointments are available from 10:00am-4:15pm on Wednesday and Thursday in the Strand Union Building Ballroom. In addition to helping your community, all donors will receive a coupon for 50% off a Bridger Bowl lift ticket! Details.

🐶 Read With a Dog runs from 4:00pm-5:00pm in the Children’s Room at the Bozeman Public Library. Kids can spend 10 minutes reading aloud with an Intermountain Therapy Dog in a calm, encouraging setting. Free to attend! Details.

🧵 MAP Brewing is hosting their third Dry January Community Night, this time with a Sip-N-Shop Mini Market from 5:00pm-8:00pm. This alcohol-optional hang celebrates connection without the pressure to drink, featuring new non-alcoholic pours, local artists selling their work in the mezzanine, and an open invitation to bring your own craft to work on. 🍃 The Co-op on West Main hosts their latest event in the Gather & GROW Speaker Series from 6:30pm-7:30pm, with a free, practical workshop on creating a healthier home. 🥞 Come out for Pancakes & BINGO: a fundraiser benefiting Love INC from 5:30pm-8:45pm at the Trinity Ministry Center. 😂 Last Best Comedy hosts their Improv Showdown starting at 7:00pm. This annual 18+ improv comedy competition will bring together more teams from across Montana to battle it out for laughs. Tickets.
