Big Sky’s Biggest Week is officially here, with Western events, rodeos, live music, and community celebrations taking over Big Sky from July 9th-18th.

Festivities include Montana’s Premier Horse Sale, the Big Sky Community Rodeo, the Running of the Bulls Trail Race, Mutton Bustin’, community events, concerts, and the return of the Big Sky PBR next week, featuring three nights of world-class professional bull riding on July 16th-18th.

Whether you’re making a day trip or planning a weekend in Big Sky, it’s one of the biggest celebrations of the Montana summer, with something happening nearly every day.

🌭 Come get FREE hot dogs downtown at Bozeman Spirits from 4:00pm-6:00pm at their new weekly community BBQ!

They’re serving up free hot dogs all summer long on Thursdays from 4:00pm-6:00pm in Downtown Bozeman.

Come hang out, grab a hot dog and a drink, and celebrate being part of the Bozeman community before Music on Main starts. See you there!

🩰 Introduce your little ones to ballet at the Library for Family Ballet from 1:00pm-2:00pm, featuring a free beginner-friendly ballet class. Caregivers are welcome to join in, and no dance shoes are needed. Details.

🐏 Head to Schnee’s downtown for the Wild Sheep Foundation’s fifth annual Ram Rendezvous Summer Street Fest from 4:00pm-8:00pm, featuring free BBQ pulled pork sliders and local brews, live music from Tessy Lou Williams, outdoor industry vendors, raffles, games, giveaways, and plenty of wild sheep fun. 🎨 The Emerson Art Walk is back from 5:00pm-9:00pm at the Emerson North Lawn and throughout the building, with live music, food trucks and vendors, gallery exhibits, and family-friendly activities, free to attend. Details.

🎪 406 Cirque hosts a family-friendly summer evening featuring free circus activities from 5:00pm, followed by a free concert from Wes Urbaniak & The Mountain Folk at 6:00pm. Expect circus classes, face painting, balloon twisting, food, and more. Details.

🖼️ Stroll Downtown Bozeman’s Summer Art Walk from 6:00pm-8:00pm, and enjoy local galleries, artists, live musicians, and complimentary refreshments. Free to attend. Details.

🎶 Friday night at the Tune Up Bar features pop-soul-country artist Jess Allestad from 6:00pm-8:00pm, followed by country/Americana band Little Jane & The Pistol Whips from 9:00pm-11:00pm. Details.

🎺 Montana TheatreWorks presents The Music Man at The Ellen Theatre this weekend, with performances Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 3:00pm. Details.

🎣 Spots are still available in Ripple Outside’s Ladies Who Cast Clinic in Livingston, a two-day, women-focused weekend covering gear, casting, reading the water, fly shop tips, and hands-on time fishing the Yellowstone River on Friday and Saturday. Details.

🐦 The Sacajawea Audubon Society hosts a Habitat Restoration & Birding Tour from 8:30am-12:30pm, featuring a guided birding walk through 40 acres of restored habitat east of Bozeman. Details.

🧄 Chance Farm is looking for volunteers this Saturday from 8:00am-12:00pm or 1:00pm-5:00pm to help with the Great Garlic Harvest of 2026. No experience is needed, and volunteers will head home with fresh vegetables as a thank-you. Details.
